Power Usage Effectiveness (PUE)

Power Usage Effectiveness (PUE) is equal to total facility power / IT equipment power. The metric can be used to determine the datacenter's efficiency, giving administrators the information necessary to take steps to optimze the datacenter.

Data Center Infrastructure Efficiency (DCiE)

Previously known as Data Center Efficiency (DCE), Data Center Infrastructure Efficiency (DCiE) is equal to IT equipment power divided by the total facility power. The metric can be used to determine the datacenter's efficiency, giving administrators the information necessary to take steps to optimze the datacenter.

Corporate Average Data Efficiency (CADE)

Corporate Average Data Efficiency (CADE) is equal to Facility Efficiency multiplied by the IT Asset Efficiency. CADE percentages are divided into 5 different levels, which can be used to normalize ratings and set targets for improvement.
